Red Star's winning run comes to an end with a defeat against Nailsea (not so) Old Boys on Mothers Day.

End of season bash

Summer Tour

This year's tour is in the far away paradise of York from 6th - 8th August. Chris is organising the numbers. Louis will not be managing a 7 a side team as this part of the tournament is full. Hangers on still welcome as ever (email us if you fancy it). Travel by various cars is the current plan to get there, although we should be considering going by train to play our part in the "greenest alternative world cup ever". Red Star retain the Copa Sandino plate

The 6-a-side Red Star team that entered the Copa Sandino at
Ashton Park School on Sunday 16th May won the final of the Chris Collett
plate after a dramatic penalty shoot-out.
Unfortunately Alix Hughes , the Red Star goalkeeper, dislocated his finger
on the winning save.
Alix was the organiser of the tournament on behalf of BLINC to raise money
for the Bristol twinned town of Porto Morazan ( see link below )
20 teams were competing and they hope to raise £2000
Red Star came third in their group but went on to win the Plate for the second
year running, winning three penalty shoot-outs on the way.
In 2007 Red Star won the tournament outright.

Red Star beat Hill Farmers 5-0 in their last casual league fixture

On April 26th at Frys Club Red Star finished their season on a high by beating their local rivals Hill Farmers 5-0.
Chris Carter continued his consistant scoring achievments by netting a hat trick. This win ensures Red Star's status in the casual league division one for next season by finishing 6th.

Tour 2009 - plans get under way

Plans for this years tour to Stuttgart in July are already underway. A number of players have been confirmed as going, keep checking site for more details soon.

Easton Cowboys are promoted to division one

Easton Cowboys won promotion to division one and Red Star will be playing against them next season. In winning the second divisin championship they scored 48 goals in their 12 games.


Roger Hits 50

Roger Tunstall will be celebrating his 50th birthday on June 11th. On July 18th at the Thunderbolt he'll be celebrating his birthday, combining it with the Red Star awards night. Roger's favourite band of young Red Star players, Underdog will be featuring.
